In Washington Heights, Northern Manhattan, Martinich and Carran applied their vibrant trademark collaborative wall painting to the façade of Dos Puentes Bi-Lingual Elementary School. Continuing the metaphoric theme of immigrant quaker parrots that have become naturalized in NYC juxtaposed against Martinich’s vibrant abstract expressionism, the pair quickly developed a strong following of onlookers both young and old.
