Rowena Martinich is a Surfcoast based artist, renowned for her use of radiant colour in abstract expressionist paintings and public art. Rowena paints in a multitude of architectural contexts; embellishing foyers, commercial interiors, entire building facades, transitory spaces as well as residential interiors.
Viachroma is a 17m long, double-sided painting installation on the pedestrian overpass of Dandenong Station. Launched in December 2009, this work was funded by the Victorian Government Department of Transport and Connex. More than 8,000 commuters pass through this artwork each day.
